Calendar is a feature in Google Apps that makes it convenient for you to schedule your time. Personal or work related. It is also easy to share calendars with other people who are engaged in work related to yours. When meetings need to be scheduled, you know when others could be available. This is easily possible by enabling the display of your co-workers calendars, along with yours in a single display. These calendars can be displayed in a variety of colors to differentiate them from one another.

  • Share your calendars - Google Calendar allows you to share whole calendars with specific people or with your whole company.

  • Access Calendar from Mobile Devices - You can get event details, create new events, and manage guests from a mobile device like a Blackberry or iPhone.

The graphic on the right shows a display of multiple calendars in different colors belonging to different people. It therefore becomes easy to know who is available when, in case a meeting needs to be scheduled.

It is easy to access and add calendars of your co-workers just by typing their name in the text box marked "Other Calendars".

One can easily create an event by placing he cursor on the time and date box. The event also could be for scheduling a meeting with others and inviting them to respond. If all responses are in affirmative the event is fixed or one can easily re-schedule the time of the event.When you send an invitation to others for an event, they get a e-mail with a link to add that event to their Calendar.

The calendar can be private, shared with select people or made public. The calendar can also be embedded in sites that you create.
